Entryway

Where Structure Meets Softness

This foyer was designed to transform a transitional space into an intentional place of arrival. The staircase, painted in Urbane Bronze, anchors the architecture with depth while avoiding the stark heaviness of black. Walls in City Loft soften the light with a subtle blue-grey undertone, creating atmosphere without glare.

A repurposed wooden bench, reimagined with a custom slipcover and handmade pillow, establishes a place to gather rather than simply pass through. To the right of the entry, a smaller rustic bench vignette layers texture and restraint — a bronze bowl filled with pinecones, linen draping, and vertically stacked wood panels with linen insets introduce quiet rhythm and organic repetition.

A foraged branch installation, inspired by wabi-sabi principles, adds natural asymmetry against the strong stair lines. Grounded by travertine tile and layered rugs, the space balances structure with softness.

The result is an entry that feels tranquil, elevated, and deeply settled.
